Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a CDL-licensed driver with crane/boom operation expertise to transport construction materials to job sites and customer locations. The role requires rigging, hoisting, and adherence to safety and DOT regulations to protect personnel and equipment.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of driving experience and one year operating a Boom/Crane, plus a valid CDL and Boom/Crane Operator certification.

Qualifications

• Two years of driving experience and at least one year operating boom/crane equipment.
• Valid CDL and Boom/Crane Operator certification required.
• DOT medical card within five days of request; fewer than five moving violations in past five years.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery vehicle to transport materials to locations or customer sites.
• Load/unload materials using crane/boom with proper rigging and hoisting.
• Compute crane capacities, weights and clearances to protect equipment and surroundings.
• Ensure loads comply with weight limits and DOT regulations.
• Maintain logs for deliveries, mileage and locations; verify against invoices.
• Inspect and maintain crane/boom and delivery vehicle for safety and compliance.
• Plan and pace work to meet daily/weekly productivity goals.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
