Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking a Class B Vacuum Truck Route Driver to manage a route and operate a Vacuum Truck to pick up industrial waste from customers and transport to disposal sites.

Responsibilities include daily service, safety compliance, documentation, and identifying new opportunities while delivering excellent customer service. Valid CDL B is required; Hazmat endorsement within 90 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• Safety-minded and customer-focused approach required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with customers and team.
• Ability to plan and manage a route efficiently.
• Experience operating vacuum trucks or similar heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the priority by following all policies and procedures.
• Visit 10‑12 customer sites per day.
• Perform manual labor on sites to meet customer needs.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries and pickups on time.
• Complete all required documentation and labeling.
• Generate/collect leads from customers for new products and services.
• Sell additional products and services to existing accounts.
• Actively prospect for new accounts on the route.
• Maintain primary account ownership on the route.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at the time of service.
• Follow all local, state and federal regulations and DOT requirements.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with applicable rules.
• Observe company environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
