Job summary

Tevis Family of Companies seeks a CDL Class B Energy Delivery Driver to serve Eldersburg, MD. Deliver heating oil to residential and commercial tanks, maintain licenses, and uphold safety standards. Expect overtime during heating season and on-call rotation.

Requirements include 1–3 years driving experience, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and a strong customer-service focus. Physical demands include lifting up to 60 lbs, and repetitive lifting of 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years driving experience preferred.
• Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Strong math and computer skills.
• Excellent customer service and clean driving record.
• CTEP certification or ability to obtain.
• Ability to work independently in all weather with safety focus.
• Lifting up to 60 lbs occasional; 40 lbs repetitive.

Responsibilities

• Deliver heating oil to residential and commercial tanks.
• Maintain DOT physical card and CDL license compliance.
• Follow safety regulations and stay safety conscious.
• Complete training on schedule.
• Load/unload tanker truck (2800-4500 gallons).
• Maintain paperwork and digital records (load sheets, tickets).
• Perform daily DVIR inspections and keep truck clean.
• Coordinate with dispatch to ensure accurate records.
• Work overtime and some weekends during heating season.
• Participate in 24-hour emergency on-call rotation.

The Energy Delivery Driver is the Company's customer-facing representative of the Company in the delivery of product to residential and commercial tanks. Local deliveries, home daily.

$25-$30 per hour.

Requirements

• 1-3 years Driving Experience Preferred
• Class B Commercial Driver's License
• Hazmat Endorsement
• Tanker Endorsement
• Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of computers
• High level of customer service focus
• Clean driving record
• Current CTEP or ability to obtain certification
• Ability to work independently in all weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Repetitive lifting of approximately 40lbs.
• Lifting up to 60 lbs. and pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs. (occasionally)
• Bending, kneeling, twisting, crouching, walking, sitting for long periods
• Tolerate heating oil odor/fumes
• Ability to back truck into driveways
• Comply with random DOT drug and/or alcohol testing

• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and maintain truck cleanliness.
• Sustain open communication with dispatch to ensure delivery and inventory records are accurate.
• Work overtime and some weekends during heating season.
• Participate in 24-hour emergency on-call rotation.
