Job summary

Rentokil North America is seeking CDL Drivers to transport products from distribution centers to customer locations, performing vehicle inspections, and logging hours. You will interact with customers, ensure on-time deliveries, and maintain safety standards.

This full-time role requires a valid Class B CDL, Hazmat Endorsement not required but obtainable, and at least three years of driving experience. You will work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least three years of experience driving and maintaining delivery trucks and routes.
• Ability to operate electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB).
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs loading and unloading products.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and weekend work when needed.
• Valid Hazmat Endorsement is not required, but must have the ability to obtain one.
• Valid Class B CDL License from state of residence.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Transport target products from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Take and comprehend orders and ensure delivery shipments within state and/or in other cities/states.
• Ensure all document and billing paperwork is available with each shipment.
• Reach destinations within assigned timelines and verify recipient information according to company protocols.
• Submit weekly, monthly, and yearly reports, as required.
• Drive long distances.
• Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect their truck before and after the trip, and record any defects they find.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep a log of their activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
• Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking.
• Arrive at clients' on time.
• Take rest periods during the trip.
• Transport hazardous materials.
• Take special precautions while driving.
• Find and keep clients.
• Maintain log of trips.
