Job summary

Gas and Supply is seeking a Class A CDL driver with Hazmat endorsement to deliver products to local customers on scheduled routes in Beaumont, TX. You will operate a tractor-trailer and tanker, complete hand-held scans, and obtain customer signatures while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description

Class A license with a Hazmat endorsement is required for a tractor and trailer combination and tanker drivers (for hauling refrigerated Argon, Oxygen, Nitrogen and CO2). The Class A Driver position delivers products to local customers on scheduled routes. Records deliveries and pick-ups on hand‑held scanner or on a load manifest sheet and obtains signatures from customers for receipt purposes. Listens to and resolves service inquiries and complaints. Loads and unloads trucks. Performs pre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order. Maintains neat, clean and professional personal appearance, and maintains vehicle appearance in a professional manner.

Job Duties

• Load and unload high pressure industrial gas, medical or cryogenic cylinders safely at customer sites or at our facility.
• Use company handhelds to maintain ELD, pre-trip inspection and post trip inspections.
• Communicate face to face with customers and fellow employees to help answer questions and provide a suitable solution.
• Maintain manifest and all other vehicle documents to maintain compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Class A CDL driver’s license with Tanker and HAZMAT endorsements.
• Must be 21 years old.
• Current Medical Examiner’s Card.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Frequent bending.
• Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to work occasional overtime.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Retail local delivery route experience strongly desired.
