Job summary

Kroger Supply Chain is hiring a professional truck driver to deliver goods to stores and customers from the Houston distribution center. You will travel regionally and be responsible for safe vehicle operation, load accuracy, and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, DOT compliance, and back-haul coordination with vendors. The role requires a Class A CDL and a strong customer-service mindset to support Kroger's distribution network.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Commercial Class A CDL license.
• Ability to safely inspect and operate trucks and equipment.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to back trailers safely and handle basic math for load calculations.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck to deliver goods to stores and customers.
• Adhere to safety standards and DOT regulations.
• Inspect truck and report any defects.
• Weigh load and unload merchandise at stores.
• Back 53’ trailers safely to docks or vendor locations.
• Maintain flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends.
