Job summary

GAVEL Transport LLC is seeking experienced CDL Class A team drivers to move goods between vendors and Nellis Auction properties. Drivers are responsible for safe, efficient, and compliant freight movement across OTR and regional lanes, operating under all federal and state regulations.

The role offers competitive team pay: $0.76 per mile plus detention and layover pay, a $4,000 sign-on bonus, and potential earnings up to $135,000+ per year.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CDL driving experience required; OTR experience preferred.
• Current, valid Class A CDL and DOT medical certification.
• Experience operating day cab/sleeper tractors and 53' trailers.
• English fluency, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute pickups and deliveries safely, in accordance with DOT standards.
• Inspect and secure freight; verify seals against Bills of Lading.
• Record driving status in MOTIVE ELD per DOT hours-of-service rules.
• Coordinate team driving shifts with a driving partner in compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service rules.
• Execute drop-and-hook trailer moves safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily tractor and trailer inspections; report defects promptly.
• Manage fuel purchases using company credit cards.
• Maintain a clean, organized shared sleeper cab environment.
• Drive approximately 6,000+ miles per week on dedicated lanes.

Requirements

Qualifications / Requirements:

• 2+ years of CDL driving experience required; OTR experience preferred.
• Current, valid Class A CDL and DOT medical certification.
• Experience operating day cab/sleeper tractors and 53' trailers.
• English fluency, verbal and written.
• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs regularly; team lifts required for loads over 50 lbs.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch in variable conditions.
• Existing driver teams strongly preferred.
