Job summary

Global Expedited Transportation is an Atlanta, GA-based company seeking yard/shuttle drivers to join a full-time team on a 5:00/5:30am to 2:30pm shift Monday through Friday, with Saturday as needed.

You will move trailers, secure loads, perform pre-trip inspections, and support overtime including weekends. Must have a CDL, 2–3 years of tractor-trailer experience, and be able to maneuver 53-ft trailers in tight spaces.

Qualifications

Must be able to read, follow and retain instructions.
Proficient math skills and problem solving.
2-3 years experience driving a commercial tractor and trailer.
Experience unloading and loading trailers.
Ability to drive and dock trailers up to 53’.
Ability to maneuver trailers in tight and restricted areas.

Responsibilities

Move trailers to and from docks inside the plant and ensure timely delivery of parts.
Perform pre-trip inspections and secure loads with proper strapping.
Train on 1st shift and be prepared to work overtime including Saturdays and Sundays.

Job Summary

Global Expedited Transportation Freight Corp is an Atlanta GA-based company looking for shuttle drivers who would like to earn a great living five days per week, 5:00~5:30am to 2:30pm, on Monday ~ Friday.

Saturday as needed.

Responsibilities

Yard Drivers will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of parts to customer. Will continually move trailers to and from docks inside the plant. Drivers will be responsible for strapping and securing loads and doing pre-check inspections. Applicants must be able to train on 1st shift. All applicants considered for employment must pass an on-site driving, parking, and backing evaluation test as well as demonstrate the ability to perform pre-inspection tractor and trailer test. The EV plant is very new, so the time consummation of long sitting hours will be in place until full implementation. Applicants must also be available to work overtime as needed including Saturday and Sunday. Applicants must include all necessary information on applications to enable employer to conduct past employment references. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Employer will conduct a pre-employment background, physical and drug screen as well as a driving background check. Safety shoes will be required.

Minimum requirements

Must be able to read, follow and retain instructions.
Must have proficient math skills and problems solving abilities.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License.
2-3 Years experience driving a commercial tractor and trailer.
Experience unloading and loading trailers.
Ability to drive and successfully, dock and park tractors and trailers up to 53’
Ability to safely park and move trailers in very tight and restricted areas.
Be able to constantly enter and exit tractor trailer.
Ability to unwind landing gear multiple times daily.
Must be a team player, possess excellent communication, interpersonal skills and work well in a Team Environment.
