Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Class A semi driver to operate a commercial motor vehicle to pickup raw materials and return to our Pocahontas facility, providing prompt and efficient customer service.

Responsibilities include route execution, tarp and safety compliance, vehicle upkeep, proper paperwork, and DOT hours management, with a focus on professional customer relations and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must hold CDL Class A with clean MVR.
• Six months experience required.
• Must be registered on Clearinghouse (FMCSA).

Responsibilities

• Run established route; pick up raw materials; weigh in raw material when returning to plant and weigh in and out of customer location as needed.
• Tarp loads before leaving plant or customer location and maintain cleanliness at customer locations.
• Maintain company vehicle in clean condition.
• Perform safety checks and inspections; operate vehicle per regulations and company policy.
• Maintain excellent customer relations with professional appearance and attitude.
• Complete all required paperwork (route tickets, DVIRs, mileage reports, service forms, etc).
• Maintain and update vehicle condition report daily.
• Maintain DOT hours of service with onboard computer per company policy.
• All other duties as assigned.
