Job summary

Unique Freight Transport Inc is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our team, operating freight in and out of the Los Angeles Port. This role offers steady miles in one of the busiest freight corridors and the chance to work on port drayage and intermodal runs.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keep accurate logs, and coordinate with dispatch, terminal staff, and customers. A clean MVR, ability to pass DOT physical/drug tests, and TWIC (or ability to obtain one)

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• TWIC card required or ability to obtain one.
• Prior port drayage or intermodal driving experience preferred.
• Clean MVR and satisfactory driving record.
• Able to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Flexible hours including early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A vehicle for drayage and port pickup/delivery at the Port of Los Angeles.
• Pick up and deliver intermodal containers, chassis, and freight to and from port terminals.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs using ELD systems.
• Communicate with dispatch, terminal staff, and customers regarding load status and delivery times.
• Adhere to port security protocols, TWIC requirements, and terminal procedures.
• Ensure cargo is properly secured and shipping documentation is complete.

• Operate Class A commercial vehicle for drayage and port pickup/delivery runs at the Port of Los Angeles
• Pick up and deliver intermodal containers, chassis, and freight to and from port terminals

• Maintain accurate logs using ELD (Electronic Logging Device) systems
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal staff, and customers regarding load status and delivery times
• Adhere to all port security protocols, TWIC card requirements, and terminal procedures
• Ensure cargo is properly secured and all shipping documentation is accurate and complete

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A license required
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card required or ability to obtain one
• Prior port drayage or intermodal driving experience strongly preferred
• Clean MVR and satisfactory driving record
• Familiarity with Los Angeles/Long Beach port terminals and surrounding routes
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including early mornings
