Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking a Hazmat-certified truck driver to perform local deliveries from SCP Distributors in Salt Lake City, UT. You will safely haul loads, navigate routes, and ensure on-time deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations.

You will be responsible for loading/unloading, securing cargo, handling payments, and maintaining vehicle condition. Eligible candidates benefit from comprehensive health, retirement, and education programs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement.
• Manual 48' Tractor and Trailer operation.
• MVR/PSP check showing ≤2 violations/accidents in 3 years.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, on-time orders to customers.
• Load/unload and secure cargo, separating hazmat as required.
• Document deliveries and collect payments accurately.
• Comply with FMCSR and other regulations.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Keep vehicle clean and presentable and maintain product knowledge.

Pay: $28- $30/ Hour + Benefits and up to $3500 in annual bonuses

Work Hours: 7:00am start until finished

What to Expect

Hazmat Drivers make safe, complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to customers while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) and other applicable regulations.

On a daily basis our drivers:

• Make deliveries using the most effective route to ensure orders are delivered on time.
• Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring that all products are properly secured, and hazardous material is separated appropriately.
• Collect payments and accurately document delivery.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)).
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and inform supervisor of any maintenance needed.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and presentable on a daily basis.
• Increase job and product knowledge on an ongoing basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• To be at least 21 years old.
• A valid Class A commercial driver's license with HAZMAT endorsement.
• To drive a manual 48' Tractor and Trailer
• A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) indicating no more than 2 combined violations or at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• The ability to maneuver heavy objects that can weigh up to 100 pounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• To carry out instructions with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with PCs and other material handling equipment (preferred).
• Moffett, Skelly or Air Brake experience a plus!
