Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Driver (Yard) in Saint Cloud, MN to coordinate incoming trailers and move outgoing trailers as they are loaded.

The role features a Monday–Friday night schedule with 10–15 hours of overtime weekly. Responsibilities include transferring trailers, coordinating unloading/loading, and maintaining equipment. A good driving record and the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement are required.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a CDL Class A license with a good driving record.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

• Transfer incoming trailers into loading docks and move them when emptied.
• Switch outbound terminal trailers once they are loaded.
• Make local pickups in surrounding area.
• Replace trailers when Transport drivers leave.
• Remove empty pallets from unloaded trailers.
• Coordinate unloading and loading of LTL pallets.
• Communicate with warehouse management to synchronize switches.
• Communicate with Heavy Duty Mechanics on maintenance and repairs.
• Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily.
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed.

Job Summary

The CDL Class A Driver (Yard) is responsible for the coordination of incoming trailers from branches and the movement of outgoing trailers as they are loaded.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 8:00PM start - completion of route
• 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week
• Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• $23.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties And Responsibilities

• Transfer incoming trailers into loading docks and move them when emptied

Education And Experience

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferredHold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
