Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply, Inc. in Texas is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver to transport metal and aluminum products to EMS customers. You will load, secure, and unload materials, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintain DOT logs while ensuring regulatory compliance.

This role requires clear communication with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service, with a strong emphasis on safety and cargo securement. The position is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A driver’s license required.
• Preferably 3 years of recent experience operating a 53ft tractor trailer.
• No more than one major traffic violation in the past 5 years.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and secure loads safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport, load and unload materials to EMS customers.
• Comply with all driving regulations and company policies.
• Backup and maneuver trucks in tight spaces; drive in varying road conditions.
• Complete DOT logs and vehicle inspection reports.
• Inspect equipment to ensure safe operations before departure.
• Review shipping papers for load details and handling requirements.
• Ensure loads are properly secured per DOT and company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck interior and exterior.
• Wear required PPE when handling materials.
• Report delivery issues or discrepancies promptly.
