Job summary

Southern Eagle Sales and Service in Metairie, LA is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver to safely deliver products to customer accounts on assigned routes. You will provide outstanding customer service, upsell SESS products, check inventory, and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Strong math skills and cash handling experience.
• Ability to operate forklifts and material-handling equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Validate truck inventory against load sheet and follow morning check-out procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to comply with DOT requirements.
• Deliver to customer accounts according to route sheets and meet delivery windows.
• Service accounts, rotate products, stock shelves, and maximize product shelf presence.
• Build relationships with accounts, upsell and promote products.
• Collect payments and ensure checks are valid.
• Follow check-in procedures for returns and consolidate pallets daily.
• Be willing to change routes on short notice and assist other routes as needed.
• Follow safety rules and coach others on safety practices.
• Ensure the truck is clean at the end of the day.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
