Role Description

The CDL Class A Driver – Local Transfer Station to Landfill role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The driver will be responsible for transporting waste and recyclables from local transfer stations to designated landfills using Class A commercial vehicles, following assigned routes and schedules. Day-to-day tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and safely operating equipment, and complying with DOT regulations and company safety policies. The driver will maintain accurate logs, tickets, and documentation, communicate with dispatch and site personnel regarding load status or issues, and promptly report any equipment or operational concerns. This role involves working in outdoor environments, maneuvering vehicles in tight spaces, and consistently supporting safe, efficient, and timely hauling operations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and state transportation regulations.
• Experience hauling waste, recyclables, or bulk materials; familiarity with transfer station and landfill operations is preferred.
• Ability to safely operate tractors, trailers, and related equipment, including backing, coupling/uncoupling, and maneuvering in confined areas.
• Strong safety awareness, adherence to PPE requirements, and capability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Basic skills in completing logs, tickets, and electronic or paper documentation accurately and on time.
• Reliable communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, site personnel, and management; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Consistent punctuality, dependability, and professionalism in representing the company with customers and partners.
• Physical ability to climb in and out of trucks, perform inspections, and handle routine tasks associated with waste and bulk-material hauling.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in local or regional trucking and environmental services is a plus.

Compensation

Pay: 20% of the gross revenue from each completed load (Percentage Pay). $1,260.00 - $2,100.00 per week.

Weekly pay. Consistent work available Monday–Saturday.

Earnings increase as more loads are completed.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Start Time: 3:30 AM
• End Time: Upon completion of assigned routes (typically between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM)
