Tonkin Parts Center in Portland, OR is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver to transport automotive parts between our Portland distribution center and regional hubs, with most routes returning home daily. Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Clean driving record.
• Previous commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to safely load, unload, and transport freight.
• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to drive overnight or evening routes as assigned.
• Regularly lift and move items up to 75 pounds.
• Bend, reach, twist, and handle automotive parts safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Transport automotive parts efficiently and on schedule.
• Load and unload freight as needed.
• Utilize GPS and route management systems to optimize deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and transportation records.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers.
• Report maintenance concerns and delivery exceptions promptly.
• Ensure cargo is secured and transported safely at all times.
