Job summary

NOVO Health Services in Georgia is seeking a full-time Driver to deliver finished linen products to hospitals and healthcare facilities and to pick up soiled linen for processing. You will uphold safety and professional conduct while coordinating with the transportation and plant teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean linen products to customers.
• Transport soiled linen back to plant.
• Load the delivery truck by pushing carts onto the back of the truck.
• Coordinate daily activities with Transportation, Plant Managers, and Team Leaders.
• Follow DOT rules and OSHA safety procedures.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform disinfecting after transporting soiled linen.
• Will work rotating shifts.
• Assist and perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION TITLE: Driver
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of a Commercial Driver is to deliver finished product and pick up soiled product at our customer locations (hospitals and healthcare facilities). This position will represent the Company professionally and courteously.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Collect finished carts:
• Roll the carts from the Load Building area to back dock.
• Load the delivery truck by pushing the carts onto the back of the appropriate truck.
• Deliver clean linen products to customers.
• Transport soiled linen back to plant.
• Follow all federal, state, and local requirements according to D.O.T. rules and regulations.
• Follow all OSHA rules as applies to blood borne pathogens.
• Coordinate daily activities with Transportation, Plant Managers, and Team Leaders.
• Must be able to adapt to change and unscheduled events.
• Maintain vehicle, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, and disinfecting after transporting of soiled linen.
• Will work rotating shifts.
• Understand, observe and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Assist and perform other duties as assigned.
