Job summary

Guy M. Turner, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Lowboy Driver for our Crane Department in North Carolina. The role involves hauling cranes, counterweights, and oversized equipment using lowboy trailers and specialized heavy haul tractors.

The position focuses on crane transport needs and is separate from the Heavy Haul division. Expect mostly day trips with occasional overnight stays. Living within 1 hour of Winston-Salem, Greensboro, or Burlington is required, and a background check, MVR, and drug

• Experience operating lowboy trailers for oversized and heavy equipment hauls.
• Hauling on 4-axle lowboy trailers (8 axles total) with loads up to 165,000 lbs.
• CDL Class A license required
• Must live within 1 hour of Winston‑Salem, Greensboro, or Burlington, NC
• Mostly day trips with occasional overnight stays
• Background check, MVR, and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Haul cranes, counterweights, and oversized equipment using lowboy trailers and specialized heavy haul tractors.
• Support crane transport needs within the Crane Department (separate from Heavy Haul division).
• Perform day trips with occasional overnight stays.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance on all moves.

In this role, you’ll haul cranes, counterweights, and oversized equipment using lowboy trailers and specialized heavy haul tractors.

This position is separate from our Heavy Haul division and is focused specifically on supporting crane transport needs.

Requirements

Experience hauling on 4-axle lowboy trailers (8 axles total) with loads up to 165,000 lbs

CDL Class A license required
