Job summary

NextGen Trash is seeking a CDL Trash Truck Driver in Austin, TX and surrounding areas to operate a commercial trash truck on designated routes and ensure timely, safe collection of waste and recyclables. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, follow safety protocols, communicate with dispatch and customers, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial trash truck to collect waste and recycling materials on designated routes.
• Ensure safe and efficient driving practices in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding collection schedules and any service issues.
• Load and unload waste and recycling materials as needed, ensuring proper disposal and recycling practices.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and collection reports.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself, your crew, and the public.
• Assist in training new drivers and team members as needed.

Job Summary:

• Physically capable of performing the duties of the job, including lifting heavy items and working in various weather conditions.
