Job summary

Transdev North America in Merced, CA is seeking part-time bus drivers to deliver safe, reliable transportation with a focus on customer service and professionalism.

You'll train and operate routes with pre- and post-trip checks, adhere to schedules, and uphold safety standards; flexible shifts may include mornings, evenings, and weekends. Join a unionized pay scale with starting $22.34/hour progressing to $34.20/hour over five years, plus sick leave and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements, or a valid CDL permit with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Safety-focused operations: follow routes and schedules with strict safety protocols.
• Passenger care: assist passengers, ensure smooth boarding and timely disembarkation.
• Vehicle vigilance: conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Uphold company policies, including seat belt enforcement and emergency preparedness.
• Other duties as required.
