Job summary

Greyhound Lines, Inc. is seeking qualified bus drivers to join our Chicago operations. You will drive a bus safely along designated routes, ensuring passenger safety and comfort while complying with all regulations.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, assisting passengers, and maintaining accurate trip records. A Class A or B CDL with Passenger 16+ endorsement is required, along with a DOT physical and drug screen; full-time hours depend on regional needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class A or B CDL as required.
• Passenger 16+ endorsement and no air brake restriction.
• Must be 22 years of age or older.
• Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bus safely and efficiently, following traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Follow routes and schedules, making adjustments as needed.
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing belongings.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safe operation.
• Report maintenance issues or incidents per company policy.
• Keep records of miles, fuel usage, and required documentation.
• Stay current with company policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Follow designated routes and schedules, making necessary adjustments when required
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers by providing assistance when needed
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition
• Report any maintenance issues, accidents, or incidents to the appropriate authorities
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing their personal belongings
• Follow emergency procedures and respond to incidents in accordance with company protocols
• Keep records of miles driven, fuel usage, and other required documentation
• Stay updated on company policies and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Must be fully Licensed with Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Must possesses Passenger 16+ endorsement and no air brake restriction
• 22 years of age or older
• Able to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
• Full-time employment consideration only
• Ability to work varied schedule based on regional driver needs

Compensation Range

USD $30.87 - USD $32.84 /Hr.
