Transdev is hiring Bus Operators in Statesboro, GA to provide safe, reliable transportation on the Georgia Southern campus. CDL B with Passenger Endorsement is required; the role is full-time with a 12pm–9pm shift and no weekends.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Valid CDL Class B with passenger endorsements
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience
• Excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Responsibilities

• Safety-focused operations by following designated routes and schedules with strict safety and traffic rules.
• Passenger care with smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation.
• Vehicle vigilance through pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reporting maintenance issues.
• Adherence to company policies and procedures, including seatbelt enforcement and emergency preparedness.
• Other duties as required.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement

• $18.00 / hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale)
• Full-Time: 12pm-9pm
• Monday – Friday - No weekends!

Benefits include

• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

Physical Requirements

• Role involves operating a vehicle in a variety of weather and temperature conditions.
• Sit for extended periods, frequent walk for short distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
