Job summary

QXO is seeking a driver to perform touch-freight tasks, load materials, and ensure safe loading/unloading on site. The role requires a valid CDL Class A or B license, 12 months of verifiable driving experience, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. You will collaborate with dispatchers to meet delivery deadlines and comply with DOT safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • CDL license in good standing (Class A or B).
  • At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
  • Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
  • Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
  • Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
  • Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
