Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Montpelier, VT is seeking a Boom Driver to operate CDL trucks and boom truck equipment, safely lifting, moving, and positioning loads while planning routes and coordinating logistics.

The role requires a valid Class A or B license, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, a current DOT medical card, and experience with truck-mounted forklift/Moffett equipment; DOT physical and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Role Overview: Seeking a Boom Driver responsible for operating CDL trucks and boom truck equipment to safely lift, move, and position loads. The role involves planning routes, managing logistics, and ensuring timely deliveries while complying with FMCSA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CDL trucks and boom trucks with precision and safety.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo, including operating forklifts and Moffett equipment.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, identify maintenance needs, and report issues.
• Manage logistics, plan routes using GPS, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and adhere to hazardous materials handling when applicable.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Class A or B license with a sound driving record.
• Registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and hold a current DOT medical card.
• Licenses in 1C, hydraulics, with truck-mounted forklift and Moffett experience.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Strong teamwork and safety-conscious attitude.

Additional Requirements: Pass a DOT physical, lift test, drug test, and background checks, including Motor Vehicles Record and FMCSA Clearinghouse queries.
