Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Relief Driver- CDL (B) in Amarillo to safely operate a collection truck and deliver prompt, courteous waste removal services. You will ensure the vehicle meets safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects.

Key tasks include pre/post trip inspections, following routes, loading refuse, interacting with customers professionally, and maintaining safety compliance while supporting dispatch and the ReSOP program.

• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections.
• Safely operate heavy truck on route and service customers.
• Load refuse, operate compactor, and dispose at designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and monitor waste quality.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and complete required reports.
• Follow safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
