Job summary

Sysco Eastern Wisconsin, LLC is seeking a Local CDL-B Delivery Truck Driver to transport and unload products from the warehouse to customer locations. You will ensure proper handling, efficient delivery, and accurate paperwork while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

You will build positive customer relationships, adhere to DOT regulations, and operate safely in varying conditions with possible weekend or overtime schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
• Commercial Vehicle Drivers must have the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location and ensures product is delivered on a timely basis, according to assigned route.
• Unloads product from trailer, by hand or using hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions and places in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Picks up, loads and unloads damaged goods and customer returns, and transports products back to the warehouse.
• Ensures all paperwork is completed according to established company and governmental guidelines (e.g. DOT logs, inspections, vehicle maintenance reports, and invoices).
• Maintains and follows food safety protocols and sanitary conditions in the vehicle and warehouse.
• Develops and establishes good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication.
• Works assigned schedule and may work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed to meet customer needs.
