Job summary

Tiger Fuel Company in Charlottesville seeks a Fuel Delivery Driver to load safely and drive a bobtail delivery vehicle to residential and commercial locations. You will provide outstanding customer service while upholding safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role is full-time with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, PTO, and more. CDL B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements is required, and pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• Requires a CDL B License with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Experience maneuvering in tight quarters and driving in snow, ice and other weather conditions.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, carrying hoses/nozzles weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Good driving record with no major convictions.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in written correspondence with Dispatcher and customers.
• Able to read and understand road signs, instructions, routes and other paperwork.
• Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen test.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, transports, delivers, and unloads propane & other fuel to and from specified destinations.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance.
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operates delivery truck in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher to plan and follow routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering questions.
• Completes required on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries and responses.
• Ensure truck and associated equipment are clean and in good working order.
