Job summary

Orica seeks a CDL Class B Driver for the Poultney, VT area. This hybrid role blends approximately 40% driving with 60% hands-on field work delivering and installing blasting products at customer sites.

You will conduct vehicle inspections, handle hazardous materials, and uphold safety and regulatory standards while providing excellent customer service. The position requires at least a high school diploma, DOT knowledge, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of driving and/or material handling experience.
• Solid understanding of DOT regulations is required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and basic math for inventory tasks.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Hybrid position: 40% driving and 60% field work.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and refilling fluids.
• Hook up/unhook trailers safely.
• Operate emulsion tanker and box trucks daily.
• Handle hazardous materials in compliance with safety standards.
• Report unusual incidents or accidents immediately.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
