Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is seeking a Local Class B Route Delivery Driver for the Miramar, FL area. The role involves delivering dry ice, operating a forklift and pallet jack, and ensuring loads are accurate and safely secured.

The position runs Monday through Friday with a 4 AM start, typically 40–45 hours per week. Compensation is $26.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• At least 21 yrs old.
• 1 year of CDL Class A or Class B driving experience in the last 5 years or trucking school completion in the last 12 months.
• Military CDL experience counts toward required experience.
• No more than two traffic convictions in the last 3 years (or combination of traffic conviction and at-fault accident).
• No serious violation ticket in the last 3 years.
• No CDL suspensions in the last 3 years except for unpaid child support.
• No DUI in the last 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck to deliver dry ice to customer's place of business.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment to load and unload dry ice.
• Obtain customer signature, ensure piece count matches load manifest, and collect empty dry ice boxes for return.
• Provide customer service and relay feedback to Branch Manager.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on trucks.
• Comply with company policies, safety policies, DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
