Safety-Kleen in North Amityville, NY is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee to train toward a Class B CDL. The role will drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services along a defined route.

Qualifications

• CDL B within 180 days of employment (company paid).
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 30 days of CDL B.
• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety as the top priority in all tasks.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups on time.
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions at customer locations.
• Complete required documentation and labeling.
• Generate and collect leads for new products and services.
• Sell additional products and services into existing accounts.
• Follow local, state (provincial) and federal regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and company rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
