Summary: To safely transport and deliver explosive supplies (hazardous materials) to company job sites. Responsibilities include recording deliveries and pickups on a load manifest, obtaining signatures, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining a professional appearance.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and timely transport of explosives using Class B vehicles, with occasional use of Class C vehicles.
• Maintain accurate load manifests and vehicle documentation, ensuring proper completion and balance with truck counts and shipping documents.
• Receive, store, load, and unload products at magazine sites and job sites.
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and all safety regulations are followed, including DOT safety rules and traffic laws.
• Keep the vehicle clean and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatchers, and represent the company professionally.
• Report incidents, accidents, and violations promptly, and comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Be flexible with start times based on schedule, and work independently under deadlines.
• Participate in field operations meetings and training as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Class B CDL license with Haz-mat and Tanker Endorsements, DOT medical card, and acceptable driving record.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Experience with Class B commercial driving; trainees considered if holding appropriate license and acceptable MVR.
• Ability to pass background checks, including ATF.
• Solid understanding of Federal DOT/State regulations related to hazardous material transportation and trucking.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform essential functions, including lifting 50-80 lbs.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.
• Stooping and bending frequently.
• Occasional out-of-town and overtime work may be required.
