Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Driver Small Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) to transport Mobile Storage equipment under 26,001 lbs. and perform jobsite work like block, level, and skirt, following FMCSA rules.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL, 2+ years of DOT-regulated driving, high school diploma, and strong safety focus. Travel may be required; compensation ranges from $24.70 to $35.60 per hour with extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Prepare truck, tools, & supplies for scheduled work orders
• Operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (CDL-B)
• Adhere to safety requirements related to equipment including FMCSA rules
• Maintain drivers' logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties as assigned
