Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a CDL-B Delivery Driver to transport food and related products to customers, ensuring on-time, safe deliveries across routes. You will act as the face of the company, interacting professionally with customers and vendors.

The role requires 12+ months driving experience, a valid CDL-B, a clean MVR, and the ability to lift and move freight. Daily duties include safety checks, loading/unloading, route adherence, and required paperwork.

Qualifications

• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Valid CDL-B.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight.

Responsibilities

• Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations.
• Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies; reports safety hazards.
• Drives to deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
• Unloads products from the trailer and transports items into designated customer storage areas.
• Completes required paperwork and verifies delivery with customers and obtains signatures.
• Maintains daily hours-of-service logs as required by law and company policy.
• Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keeps trailers clean.
• Completes all necessary paperwork at end of shift.
