Job summary

White Cap in Austin, TX is hiring a CDL B Driver to join our nationwide distribution team. You will deliver materials to customer jobsites, operate with safety, and help keep paperwork accurate while complying with DOT regulations.

The role offers weekday shifts with no nights, a solid benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, ample time off, and room for growth at a trusted contractor supplier.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CDL driving experience and state license.
• CDL Class A or B with endorsements for the equipment operated.
• Two years of commercial driving experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites.
• May use a truck-mounted forklift to unload shipments at jobsites.
• Follows DOT regulations and maintains safe operations.
• Ensures manifests and paperwork are accurate.
• May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.

Job Responsibilities

A CDL B Driver at White Cap… Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites. May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites. Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong sense of safety. Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate. May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment. Has a minimum of one year of CDL Driving experience and required state license. Performs other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state in which the candidate resides with all the relevant endorsements required for the type of equipment being operated (i.e., Hazardous Material to transport hazardous materials that require placarding)
• Two years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations preferred
• Forklift certification preferred
• Spanish language proficiency
