FirstFleet is seeking a CDL-A yard driver in the Atlanta area. You’ll work Sunday through Wednesday nights, take Thursday–Saturday off, and go home every day with no long-haul. You’ll run a climate-controlled Kalmar yard truck in a 45-trailer, 22-door yard, spending 95% of shifts on-site.
When shifts are available, you can pick up local route work at full driver pay on days off. Paid training is provided on the day shift before moving to your regular night schedule.
$21.50/hour | 3-1/2 Day Workweek | Thursday-Saturday OFF
This is a CDL-A yard job built around your time off.
You’ll work Sunday through Wednesday, go home every day, and then have Thursday, Friday, and Saturday completely off every week.
No long-haul.
No living in a truck.
No working six days a week just to make a decent paycheck.
And if you want to make more money, your CDL-A gives you the opportunity to pick up local driving work on your days off at full driver pay when shifts are available.
Tired of working 5-6 days a week just to get your hours?
Schedule:
You get three full days off every week, plus most of Sunday.
Save Your Back: You'll operate a dedicated, climate-controlled Kalmar yard truck with a hydraulic boom that makes trailer work easier and minimizes landing-gear cranking.
Work in a Manageable Yard: This is a 45-trailer / 22-door customer yard. You're not trying to navigate a massive 300+ trailer distribution hub all night.
Stay on the Property: 95% of your shift is spent on-site. Occasional street driving is limited to things like fueling or shuttling a trailer when needed.
Go Home Every Day: This is a local, dedicated operation. When your shift is over, you're done.
Want to Make More Money? Your CDL-A doesn't have to sit unused on your days off. When additional local driving work is available, you can pick up local route driving shifts at full driver pay.
Want the time off? Take it.
Want the extra money? Pick up another shift.
You decide how much you want to work.
There's Room to Move Up: The person who previously held this exact position was promoted to a supervisor role at another FirstFleet location. We believe in promoting from within and developing people who prove themselves. If you come in, learn the operation, do good work, and want more responsibility, there is a path to move up.
No sweeping. No OTR. No long-haul driving.
Paid Training: You'll receive one-on-one paid training on the day shift with an experienced trainer before moving to your regular night schedule. We'll teach you the yard, equipment, procedures, and customer requirements.
$21.50/hour
If You Have a CDL-A and Want Your Time Back…
You don't need another driving job that takes over your entire week.
Work four days. Get three full days off. Go home every day.
And if you want to build a career instead of just collecting a paycheck, there's room to move up.
