Job summary

Penske is hiring CDL Class A Yard Truck Drivers to operate late-model Penske trucks, with inward/outward cameras for safety. Earn $19.50 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and home daily. No touch freight. Five-day weeks, AM or PM shifts, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities include moving trailers, coupling/uncoupling, chocking, and shuttle duties across yard locations, with opportunities to run shuttle routes as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required; domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence.
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience (last 3 years) or 2 years within past 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Follow all federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• English language proficiency per federal requirement.
• Work the required schedule at the specified location; background check and drug screening required.
• Role is safety-sensitive under DOT rules and requires alertness.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management.
• Couple and uncouple trailers.
• Chock trailers when spotted for loading/unloading and pulling from doors.
• Shuttle trailers between yard locations as directed.
• Opportunity to run shuttle routes as needed.
