Job summary

TransForce is seeking CDL-A Yard Jockeys for onsite trailer-movement operations in York, PA. Reporting location is York, PA with an on-site yard role. Pay is $28 per hour, with overtime available and a schedule of four or five 12-hour shifts per week.

Shifts run 4:00 PM–4:00 AM; weekend availability is required. Responsibilities include moving 53-foot trailers, safekeeping equipment, conducting pre/post-shift inspections, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent, relevant, and verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Yard-jockey or Ottawa truck experience preferred.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Move and position 53-foot dry van trailers throughout the facility yard.
• Chock trailers and confirm they are properly positioned.
• Sweep trailers when needed.
• Conduct equipment inspections before and after each shift.
• Follow all yard and facility safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate movement records and communicate effectively with onsite leadership.
• Safely operate an Ottawa yard truck.
