Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver at Groveport, OH. The role offers a weekly guarantee, benefits after 30 days, and training to operate a mix of sleeper and straight trucks.

You will drive regionally along the Eastern US, stay away from home up to 85% of the time, and receive a $25.50 hourly rate with overtime after 40 hours, plus per diem and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• 1 year Dry Van experience required.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test, pass a DOT physical, and pass a road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
