Job summary

Grocery Outlet Inc. is seeking a Transportation Driver in California to ensure safe, efficient movement of products while complying with FMCSA regulations. You will support warehousing operations, load and unload orders, and coordinate with dispatch to maintain service levels.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, pre-employment drug testing, and successful completion of a road test or CDL skills waiver. Final pay depends on experience and location, with a focus on safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen under DOT/FMCSA.
• Background check including MVR past 3 years.
• Road test or CDL skills test waiver required.
• Team player with safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections per FMCSA rules.
• Maintain Driver Qualification File (DQF) as required by FMCSA § 391.51.
• Follow FMCSA HOS rules and company safety policies.
• Operate CMV on designated routes safely and efficiently.
• Secure and transport cargo to prevent damage or shift.
• Maintain contact with dispatch to receive instructions and report status.
• Ensure shipping documents are accurate and complete.
• Provide information and assist teammates as needed.
• Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
