Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Portland, OR is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. This role features weekly pay, strong benefits after 30 days, and promotional opportunities within a nationwide fleet.

You will drive regional routes on the West Coast, operate sleeper/ Day Cab tractors and 26' straight trucks, and begin work early morning shifts with a Monday–Friday schedule and some weekends. Company support emphasizes safety, training, and a culture of respect for drivers.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and mitigate safety hazards; maintain accurate records/logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
