Job summary

RMS is seeking a full-time Truck Driver in Colorado Springs to load/unload cargo, record delivery details, take orders, refuel, maintain the vehicle, and coordinate with dispatch and customers.

Requirements include a current Class A CDL, 3+ years of commercial driving, and passing a background check and drug test with an on-site skills verification before hire. Overtime opportunities and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a current state issued Class A CDL Driver's License.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• On-site skills verification test will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo.
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Take orders for new deliveries and drive long distances.
• Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep a log of their activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order
