Job summary

Simplot in Peru, IN is seeking a Truck Driver/Operations Support 3 to deliver fertilizer and chemicals to farms and to support the maintenance of equipment and facilities. You will communicate with customers and help blend fertilizer while calibrating application equipment.

The role requires a Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, plus 1+ year of related experience. You should be able to operate heavy equipment and have basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL is required.
• HazMat and Tanker endorsements are required.
• 1+ year of related agriculture or equipment operation experience preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment (sprayers, semi-trucks, trailers).
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, Outlook).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• High school diploma or GED suffices.

Responsibilities

• Delivering fertilizer and chemicals to farms.
• Communicating effectively with customers.
• Blending fertilizer and calibrating application equipment.
• Performing vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and HazMat regulations.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds or more as part of daily tasks.
• Assisting with projects and attending training sessions.
