Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Temple, TX, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Local routes allow home daily with a 53' dry van on day cab tractors and no-touch auto parts freight.

Expect a weekly guarantee of $1,255, plus bonuses such as a $2,000 shutdown bonus in the first year and a $250 safety bonus quarterly. Paid training, benefits after 30 days, PTO from day one, uniforms, boot allowance, and 401(k) with company match are

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months past 3 years, or 2 years past 5, or 5 years past 10.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned
