You’ll earn strong pay, with an average around $90,000 per year plus per-mile bonuses, orientation pay, sign-on bonuses, and referral incentive. Expect 10–12 hour shifts starting in the late afternoon to early night, with weekends adjusted for a reliable home schedule.

Local CDL-A Truck Driver Job Overview

• Strong pay built for local work. Drivers average $90,000 per year with a $0.75/mi base rate plus a $0.15/mi performance bonus — up to $0.90/mi plus stop pay and load pay. Weekly averages around $1,703.*
• Home every day. This is a true local position — consistent routes within 250 miles of Shelbyville, IN, with home time at the end of every shift.

Shifts built around local freight. Average 10–12 hour shifts with start times ranging from 4 PM to 2 AM.

• Scheduling that works. Drivers receive one set weekend day off per week plus one floating weekday off during non-peak season.
• Freight that’s close and consistent. This is a touch-freight position hauling refrigerated grocery loads with pallet jack and some hand unloading on established local lanes.
• Pay that grows with you. A $0.05/mi increase is available at one year of service.*
• Get started strong. Earn $500 orientation completion pay right out of the gate, plus up to $7,500 in sign-on bonus for drivers who maintain strong performance.*
• Refer a driver, get rewarded. MAST’s referral bonus pays $4,500 when you refer a qualified driver who joins the team.
