Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a professional truck driver to support deliveries across our regional network. You will handle load securing, safe driving, and timely deliveries while maintaining accurate paperwork and following DOT guidelines.

The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, home nights, and comprehensive benefits from Day 1. You’ll operate across office, crane, and mill environments with training and promotion opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor/trailer experience.
• No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 3 years.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required.
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations/Requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and coordinate with production, sales, and customers regarding loads/delivery times.
• Adhere to safety rules; wear PPE and work safely to prevent injuries.
• Ensure vehicle is loaded/tied down properly and delivered safely and on time.
• Inspect vehicle for safety/operational defects and maintain emergency equipment.
• Inventory and inspect goods to determine quantities/conditions.
• Set up a sideboard kit around trailer perimeter and secure loads.
• Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service per regulations.
• Flexibly schedule Monday–Friday, with potential overtime.
• Perform daily Pre-Trip, Inter-Trip, and Post Trip Inspections.
• Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites within region.
