Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Vernon, CA. This role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career that recognizes your talent and experience.

Compensation includes $26.00 per hour with roughly 55 hours per week, plus paid training and a schedule that includes Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Home daily routes across Southern/Central CA and possible Northern CA and AZ areas.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL Class A endorsement(s).
• 9 months to 5 years recent verifiable tractor trailer experience or equivalent.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test and Ryder background check.
• DOT physical and road test required.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and Ryder policies.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards and maintain logs/records.
• Load/unload freight as needed and assist with loading when required by customer.
