Job summary

Feeding America West Michigan is seeking a CDL-A Truck Driver to transport and deliver donated food across West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. You will operate semi-trucks, perform loading and unloading, and help with mobile pantry distributions, while maintaining safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, communicating with donors and branch locations, and supporting warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license with air brake endorsement required.
• Current medical examiners card or ability to pass physical.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Drive truck to pick up products from donors and deliver to branches, pantries, and main warehouse.
• Organize pick-up and delivery schedules and manage loading/unloading.
• Assist with Mobile Pantry distributions and sort trash/recycle items for return.
• Respond to agency customers about the Food Bank and its services.
• Assist in general warehouse tasks and adhere to safety standards.
• Temperature check products before/after shipment and follow FLIP schedule.
• Follow FMCSA regulations; some Saturdays and UP deliveries required.
