Job summary

US Foods is hiring CDL A delivery drivers to safely transport and deliver products to customers, meeting strict delivery times on a Monday–Friday schedule.

Starting pay is $35.50 per hour with potential increases and a retention bonus of $7,500. Benefits like DAY ONE medical, dental, and vision are available, with overtime opportunities and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A license.
• Minimum six months of commercial driving experience OR three months in food/beverage delivery.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must read and speak English.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration required.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet delivery times.
• Unload products using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in customer storage areas.
• Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain signatures.
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
• Provide courteous customer service to enhance the client experience.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.

$7,500 RETENTION BONUS!

CDL A Delivery Drivers start at $35.50/hour! (annual increases) with additional earning potential through performance-based incentives. Top drivers can earn $100k+ annually.

Weekly Pay! Current schedule: Monday - Friday Dispatch: between 3 AM – 5 AM (average of 50 hours/week). Team members occasionally cover Saturdays on a rotating schedule.

DAY ONE Medical, Dental, Vision less than $100/week for Family coverage.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
• Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required

What You Bring to the Table

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records

Compensation

The expected base rate for this role is between $35.50/hr and $40.00/hr. This role will also receive overtime compensation and a retention bonus.
