Express Employment Professionals – Bloomington is seeking a dependable CDL-A Truck Driver for over-the-road work with a consistent weekend home time. The role involves operating a semi tractor/trailer, following dispatch instructions, and maintaining DOT log compliance.

Expected to drive up to 11 hours daily, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and communicate clearly with dispatch. The position is contract-based with weekend home time as a per-project arrangement.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Must possess a current DOT Physical.
• Strong knowledge of federal driving guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow dispatch orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare trip records and complete DOT logs daily.
• Operate within all federal driving and safety guidelines.
• Home on weekends unless willing to stay out longer.
• No unloading or loading of freight required.
• Sit and drive for up to 11 hours per day.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain safe and efficient delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.

We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced driver who enjoys over-the-road (OTR) driving while maintaining a consistent schedule with home time on weekends. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating a semi tractor/trailer, following dispatch instruction, and ensuring compliance with all DOT and federal driving regulations. No loading or unloading is required for this role.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 1 year of CDL-A driving experience within the last 3 years
• Prior OTR driving experience preferred
• Experience operating semi tractor/trailers safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
• Clean driving record preferred
