Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking local switcher drivers for home daily shifts in Ankeny, IA. The role requires moving 53ft dry van trailers, backing into docks, and assisting OTR drivers. Qualifications

• Class A CDL required and clean driving record.
• 3 months verifiable tractor trailer experience or recent trucking school certification.
• No DUI/OWI in last 5 years; no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Move 53ft dry van trailers in and out of docks.
• Assist OTR drivers and back into dock doors.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and DOT checks.
• Inspect trailers prior to movement and report safety concerns.
